The Baker Bunch started Saturday at 2:00 on September 2 1995, when Hal Baker and Dawn Johnston
were married.

For those of you who may not know me and my family, my name is Hal along with my beautiful wife Dawn
and our four children Tyler, Timothy, Hallie, & Hannah together we make up the "Baker Bunch",   I am a
PK (not one of those Promise Keepers) a Preacher's Kid. My father is Pastor Earl Baker of the Grace
Baptist Church in Green Castle, Missouri. Dawn is a MK "Missionary's Kid", her father is Bob Johnston
Missionary to the Haitian People.

I Praise the Lord for Parents and In-Laws that love and serve God with all their heart, but since both of
our parents were not brought up in Christian homes,  Dawn and I are the 1st generation on both sides of
our families to have the privilege of raising a Christian family from day one of our marriage. Not only do
our children have parents that are born again, they have Grandparents that are as well.   Being 1st
generation PK's and MK's we have more insight of how to raise a Godly home than our parent's did, and
for that I am very grateful because I can just imagine how hard it was for our parents to try to raise a God
fearing family when their own parents weren't backing them 100%.
In a nut-shell Dawn and I are blessed to be able to raise a generation that loves and serves God without
a family that opposes us.

I have served as Assistant Pastor of Grace Baptist Church for the Past 10 years and have been on staff
for 11 years. Being raised in Green Castle Missouri has been an adventure for me, Graduating from High
School, then College, Marrying my best friend, and giving birth to our four children, God truly has been
good to us.

I have seen Pastors, Missionaries, and Evangelists that have put the ministry before their families, and
their families have suffered because of it. I have always Preached that God has ordained the family
before any ministry, and that God will bless a family that answers the same calling that is placed in the
heart of the head of the home.    I have been blessed with a beautiful wife and kids that not only agree
with the mission God has placed upon us, but have been as eager as I am in getting Eagle Heights
Baptist Church going strong for Christ.

Working until His Coming;
Pastor Hal Baker and Family
